Jim Svette's Portable Battlefield

Jim Svette built a portable terrain board that is easily transportable. I especially like the way that his board locks together to eliminate seam lines. It looks like a very good way of preparing for a convention game that can be set up multiple times with minimal effort.

His description:
This battlefield is for "The Battle Comes to Sheridan" scenario in the rulebook. I was awarded an "outstanding Game" trophy at the HMGS-PSW convention back in February for this work. The board is strong and light, it weighs about 7 pounds and when folded up is only 3' x 5' and will fit into most SUV's like my wife's Jeep. It only takes me about 20 minutes to open it up and put on the trees, fences and buildings, so it is great for use at a Convention. The wood, Styrofoam and other materials cost me about $130 and most of that was for the flocking, Putting it all together took me about 20 hours. This is the third one of these I've done with the others being for a Brigade level South Mountain scenario and for 5mm Gettysburg which I have sold.
