Prototype Photo Credits
While we prefer to use photographs of our models for our prototype cards, often we do not have the model available or haven't yet acquired a painted one. We are actively searching the web for photos that can be used to fill in missing pictures and have found quite a few of them. However, these photos are the work of others, and we try to respect copyright. We have made explicit arrangements with several sites to use their photos, and also have found several (such as official government sites) where they state that their photos are in the public domain and/or are free for use with an acknowledgement. Many of our external photos come from Wikipedia or Wikipedia Commons, where the photos have a free or fair use license, as stated on their webpage. However, even liberal license agreements such as GNU, Creative Commons, and Sharealike licenses often require that you acknowledge the individual source of the picture, often with a link to the license agreement. As we obviously can't fit this on a data card, the photo credits for individual photos are being consolidated here. We have attempted to use only photos that are available for free or fair use to the public. If you think that we are mistaken and have inadvertently violated copyright, let us know and we will remove the offending photo immediately.

Note that we often needed to modify the source photo to fit on the card and eliminate extraneous background.

Note also that external photos are ONLY used on prototype cards that are distributed free on the site. Any cards that we sell will have our own photographs.

Many of the licensing schemes require a link to the controlling license. Rather than repeat them, the following table contains links to the various licensing agreements.
